about

Aura Fresh (Istvan Raki) music career started in 1999 when his first official track was released on CD compilation by a Hungarian House Only vol.4 (Console-9 – Recycle), which was an essential selection series for those years in Hungary.

As a producer, he enjoys taking music journeys to sub-genres like dub techno, minimal-tech, progressive house, chill-out, drum and bass/dubstep. This is why he uses different alter-egos (Aura Fresh, Console 9, Inzah, Lacood) for different releases. Though he has a wide-range musical interest, he feels that he can expresses himself mostly through dubby, delayed chord themes.

Over the years he has released CD Albums, Singles, E.P’s, and remixes on labels like Confineless Recordings, Entropy Records, Deep In Dub, No Smoking Recordings, Xela Digital, Chiware, Super 6, and Uran97. He also appeared on True Sound Of Freee 3 music magazine CD compilation, as well as on Budapest Parade 2004 remix E.P CD.

His 2005 single ‘Classic Way To Flash,’ (using his Aura Fresh alter-ego) is one of the 14 tracks that were selected for the official Native Instruments Traktor DJ Studio 2.6 promo mix. Raki has also been featured as guest producer on enSonic.FM’s Featured Artist show and was selected for the Artist Of The Week on FOEM in 2007.

He is the founder of Chord Plaza Records dub techno/dub house, Synthactica Records progressive house, and Bad Sleeper Recordings dubstep digital labels. Beside the label management and producer works he also performs as a minimal/dub techno live act using purely hardware gear.
